Standard-issue "simplicity good, complexity bad" content-farm piece. Claims a Journal of Human-Computer Interaction study and a Nielsen Norman Group study without titles, authors, or dates — treat those as decorative until proven otherwise. Actionable content, if any, is the MoSCoW prioritization framework and the generic prototype-test-iterate loop, both of which predate the blog by decades and are described at wiki depth. The piece praises the iPod for minimalism and the iPhone for iterative design in adjacent paragraphs, apparently without noticing the tension. It also cites the Tesla Model S as a triumph of core-feature focus, a car famous for shipping a browser nobody asked for. By this article's own logic, the article's eight sections restating one sentence would be the case study. Tim Cook reportedly loved it, and thinks you're going to love it too. The stand is sold separately.
